I have some serious issues with some comments made in class but felt addressing them in class would take away from valuable class time.
The guy with the handlebar mustache has made some comments that have really gotten my ire. I made a comment in class last week about how i suggested from my experience that women break down crying more than men because of societal preassures and sexism. and under his breathe he loudly muttered; "yeah but how many women actaully THINK about sexism?"
Wow. Are you serious? .78c to the dollar, sexism, um, everything we've learned in class so far? Saying something like that is like assuming most black people dont think about racism.... ignorant.
Then today it was one comment after another about how simple men are and how persuaded they are (manorexia) and that you have to make it really simple for men to ge it,,,
Dude, stfu. My boyfriend read EVERY book in his small town library before he was 12 years old. Just the other morning we were having a discussion on the defintion of an apologist. DO NOT put "most men" in your group of self-described imbeciles, its insulting to the women who you hope one day will find you attractive enough to date and marry. Seriously, how much respect could you have for your future wife if you think she's awesome for marrying your 'simple' ass?
Like I said, I didnt want to take up class time with this but as God as my witness, handlebars needed to be schooled.

I think I know who you are talking about, although I don't know his name... Some people can only recognize what they have seen, and not imagine a world different from the one behind their eyes. Take what he is saying as "I have a lot of stupid friends" rather than "Every guy you ever meet will be an idiot"
